Going Home Toolkit

Producer |Team Size: 3 |Unity

Dev Diary:

This was my first project working for the GApp Lab, with my team being tasked with making an updated version of the Going Home Toolkit app. This app would help patients create a plan for post discharge care by creating a contact book filled with people and services that could help them should problems arise. This app connected to the 2-1-1 Database to provide live and up to date services from the database as well.

  • Worked to make sure that the scope of the project remained reasonable

  • Acted as a liaison for the team when talking with the shareholders and partners that funded the project.

  • Communicated regularly with outside shareholders to provide updates about progress made and remaining work.

  • Created and presented regular Sprint Review presentations to partners.

Neuroplay/HMHI Project

Producer |Team Size: 5 |Unity

Dev Diary:

Neuroplay (working title) was a project that I worked on while working for the GApp Lab. This project was a collaboration between the GApp Lab and the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and its goal was to teach students from kindergarten to 12th grade neuroscience topics such as how the brain worked. My team was brought on to the project very early during the ideation phase and our job was to create prototypes of gameplay mechanics for the potential game. This process also included creating the game’s final artstyle as well.

  • Lead design meetings with the team and outside partners to help nail down ideas for the gameplay and art style.

  • Coordinated with outside partners regularly to make sure the vision for the project was being maintained.

  • Worked with artists to help them create the game’s signature art style.
